Oil change quirk
Started doing my own oil changes. Did my R55 Mini first a few days ago and now moved on the e90. The Mini drained the oil straight down like a good boy, the e90 "peed" sideways ( towards the passenger door) quite vigorously initially. Took me by surprise and the catch pan was not quite in the right place! Mopping up oil is fun ...

Oil Dry, or cat litter. Keep a 5-gallon bucket of the stuff in your garage.

A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

Yep this is pretty annoying. It pissed sideways and always splashes over the underbody splash guard and creates a giant mess every time I do an oil change. I am thinking of just removing the undercarriage cover so I don’t have oil spraying everywhere.
