Instrument Cluster Issues with ABS/BRAKE/DSC lights
Hey guys!
This is a 2007 E90 335i with about 90,000 miles. About once or twice a day while driving on the side streets, the ABS/BRAKE/DSC error lights will come on, the gauges will act up, and the Vehicle Service light will come on. Here's a YouTube video of it. Any thoughts? The shop pulled the following codes but only from two control units: *** DME - CDA8 MESSAGE (STATUS), INSTRUMENT PANEL, FAULTY RECEIVER TRANSMITTER KOMBI. - 2DED POWER MANAGEMENT, CLOSED CIRCUIT CURRENT VIOLATION - 2DC3 MONITORING TERMINAL 15 - 2E80 INTELLIGENT BATTERY SENSOR SIGNAL TRANSMISSION *** INSTRUMENT CLUSTER - A554 NO MESSAGE (TELEPHONE) - A54C MESSAGE ERROR (RAW DATA FLUID LEVEL FUEL TANK) RECEIVER INSTRUMENT PANEL TRANSMITTER JBE - A3AB MESSAGE (LDM) FAULTY RECEIVER KOMBI, TRANSMITTER LDM - ABBC INSTRUMENT CLUSTER: MESSAGE (COMMUNICATION FAULT) - ABAC MESSAGE (DISTANCE TRAVELLED) FAULTY RECEIVER KOMBI; TRANSMITTER DSC Thanks in advance.

May be the battery is dying. Bad batteries can cause weird gauge cluster events. How old is the battery?

A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."
