S688A - Harman Kardon Surround Sound System

What are the best "plug & play" upgrade options available in terms of speakers and amps? (Trying to avoid coding as much as possible)

It really hard to do much with a Logic 7 system.
Most will upgrade the under seats and add a Sub that
is pretty much it.

The reason its hard its the proprietary fiber optic signals
between the amp and the Head Unit be it idrive or pro radio.

It's a 9 channel amp which is another reason it's not easy to
replace. It dosen't have a lot of power in a per channel basis
either.

It can be done if you want to throw a lot of money at it.

I suggest you read the sticky regarding upgrades at the top
of this forum page.

1. Yes, basically the same.
2. Used
3. From 0-10 the upgrade is a 12 once coded properly and the surround is turned off.

Being used, there are so many variables. How is quality and wear/tear assessed?

I cannot give you an answer on that one. With these speakers they genrally do not blow.
With normal speakers as they age the sensitivity increases as the suspensions loosen up a bit I don't think these would be any different.
Bottom line, they will work or they won't and I don't think a seller would normally sell a non working item. (Especially ptpending)

1. the kit for e90 is a bit different, i had one
https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1243454
and david in germany bought it and i hope he enjoy it
you can compare pictures to see what is different in speakers
2. part are used, new parts will cost about 2500-3000 USD, but i test all parts before shipping
3. individual system is overally tuned to work with individual amp, which have 825w combined power output(HK has 425W) , so all speakers are different from HK, (except wagon rear roof slim speakers)

actually all front speakers from e92 e93 can be installed to e90, and rear also can be installed in factory places on e90 but this will not be how it should be in BMW parts catalog for e90 individual system
also i do not think that e92 system will play bad in e90 because they body quite similar

You could get Bav speakers & Dynavin head unit. They will use the OEM logic 7 amp.

https://www.jandtdistributing.com/co...nt=44128265037

https://www.bavsound.com/?gclid=EAIa...SAAEgK4pvD_BwE

Both are giving $100.00 off, for a total of $200.00 off the total bill, if you order soon.
