I have an iPhone 6S (not prepared to give up headphone jack!) and as I didn't really like iOS 10/11/12 I've left it running iOS 9.3.5 which I preferred the look/functions of and works well with CIC Bluetooth etc. Obviously iOS 9.3.5 is getting rather old now though and some apps are dropping support, think I'll be forced into an iOS 12 update shortly, luckily main iOS 12 focus has been making it run well on older devices so shouldn't run too much slower than I'm used to.

Before I make the jump though is anyone aware of any issues with iOS 12 and cic Bluetooth (main use for me is phone calls via Bluetooth, rarely use Bluetooth audio streaming but would be nice if it was reliable)? I've read of various people having problems with iOS 11 and cic so thought I'd check how people are getting on first. I have an old iPhone 5 I could have tested with but that can't run 12...

iOS 12 has been out for ages and not seen any horror stories on the forums so hoping it's all good?

ios12 has been reliable with my X.

You will find the 6s gets a big performance boost according to videos i've seen on youtube.

Ok great. 6S with 12 would get a big boost vs 11 or possibly 10 but in the vs 9.3.5 videos it's a bit slower, not by much thankfully!

I find I don't notice any difference when I do the updates so do them willingly. Well, when I say no difference I do notice and use the cool new emoji's which where pretty good this time
As for problems with idrive. Mines a retrofit cic system but I am having no problems with the bluetooth. It's exactly the same as it was before the update, which was exactly the same as the update before that etc etc etc
