330i rear defroster not working
I'm new here and I have already checked the multiple threads on this but prior to purchasing anything or taking apart my c pillar to check for the antenna I wanted to ask for advice first.
The light on the button switches on and the relay clicks over when the button is depressed, but only with the engine running and not without. Is this normal behaviour as cars I have had in the past work with the engine off and in the accessory position. My car is a 2006 so I have the replaceable relay in the glovebox. I noticed that when removing the fuse to check if it was broken, that the fuse holes are damaged (centre left in the picture). Could this be the cause of the problem, and if so can I use another fuse slot instead by moving the wires? Cheers Ben |

is that due to a fault and a too higher rating of fuse replaced (to stop it blowing- not a clever idea) and something is getting a bit warm

I have no idea what caused it. I have only owned the car a month. It was a 30 amp fuse in there which is the standard fuse rating.
