Options to lower just rear .5
I have a 2010 328i sedan with the sports suspension, I'm interested in lowering only the rear .5in at the most, and if possible without raising the spring rate because I'd rtather not mess with the front springs. Are there any options?

Concrete blocks in the trunk.

Plenty of lowering springs will get you around 1", which is a modest drop. |

Cutting springs is retarded.

I have the M sport suspension and I like the ride height for the front. I'm not a fan of the rake and would like to drop the rear a small amount. So I guess a better question would be are the drops listed for aftermarket springs based on a standard car's ride height?

Yes. But just buy a set of cheap coilovers and only install the rears.

I would definitely cut 1/4 of a coil before mismatching dampers and spring rates front and rear. Not to mention cutting a little off a coil is free. |

Now, this whole idea is stupid really, but if you just want to lower the rear then adjustable coilovers is the way to do it. But yes, leaving it alone or installing a properly designed suspension front and rear is the way to go.

Any chance you could post a pic of your car from the side. I'd like to see the stance you have at the moment.
