Faulty Coolant Cap?

Last week i changed my expansion tank and looked like i was problem free. I read that its good to change the cap as well so ordered one and installed the other day. Yesterday and today i noticed that i was leaking coolant from underneath the expansion tank. Opened it and its was almost empty. Could it be a faulty cap? Filled it up, installed the old one and took the car out for a drive and no leaks. Both caps have 140 number underneath, is that the pressure rating?
