For Sale 161 Wheels w/Bridgestone Run Flats

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
For sale is a set of style 161 wheels with Bridgestone Potenza run flat tires. Wheels are 17x7 & 17x7.5. Tires are 225/45/17 & 255/40/17. Wheels are in perfect condition, no scratches or road rash. They look brand new. Tires have less than 500 miles, a lot of life left. Price is $1,300. This is less than what you’ll pay for the wheels at the dealer. So basically you’re getting the tires for free.

I prefer to sell these to someone in the LA area so I don’t have to hassle with shipping. I’m willing to drive up to 50 miles to meet the buyer if he’s far away. Email me if you want to see the wheels and tires before you buy. If you want these shipped, the cost will be $200. If actual shipping is less I’ll refund you the money. If actual shipping is more, I’ll eat the difference. Email me with any questions.

Make an offer

If you think the price is too high, PM an offer. Do you always pay the first price that's offerred?

If you can get the wheels and tires for $690 that's a great price. You can sell the tires and wheels separate on EBAY and make some money. The big question is IF you can buy for $690.

I think your dimensions are off on the width of the wheels. From the BMW website: 17" Double Spoke Alloy Wheels (Styling 161) light-alloy wheels, 17 x 8.0 front, 17x 8.5 rear...

Width on wheels

Your're right. 17x8 and 17x8.5. Typed my original message too fast.

They are still worth money...

Please don't listen to the $690? Whatever. Sell the wheels for what you want. $690 was probably for some that were scratched. Funny that BMW owners are cheap! They know what the tires and wheels go for, but they will low ball you here. Just sell them on Ebay, you'll get people that really know what they are worth. Again, don't listen to the group here, those wheels are worth more than $1,200 at least. Good luck..

That's ridiculous price. At least these wheels should worth $1000. The 159 wheels and tires already cost $900 while these 161 wheels are staggered and they should cost more. IMO $1000 is reasonable price.
I would say it's easier to sell 159 since people can use them for winter (non-stagger) and they can be rotated. 161 wheels are 17" staggered, and I don't think people like staggered in 17". But good luck anyway.
