Flo, that is the first time I have ever seen that area crack. I really wouldn't worry about it though as it is not holding a load or anything. You could use a hose clamp on it to pull it back together and maybe have someone spot weld it if you wanted to. If you do end up replacing it, shoot me a message.

Yes, I have searched for a while and saw nothing like this elsewhere. I think best will be to clean it and maybe weld it while paying attention that the inner thing from the flap can still be moved.
