E90 M3 front diff bushing orientation?
Not mine but I sent the guy here to ask. I don't think he tried though. Curiosity getting the cat so I will ask for him instead. Please see the attached picture. He asks if the slits within the aluminum part go horizontal or vertical?
what say you guys? |

I would think because diff is experiencing rotational force and want to move up and down. Not left right. So probably is fail safe built into design because if it fails the other way and becomes sloppy left and right it will more quickly damage the input shaft bearing.
