Car DAB + nav radio for e90
Hi guys
Im trying to find nice car entertainment such as build in Dab radio with nav and large screen for bmw e90 2007. Any chance to find something like this fit to e90? I saw many online but not to sure if its fits to e90 and work completely with all features. I dont want to buy a device for £200/£300 if Im not sure. is anyone replaced oem radio with large touch screen dab radio ? thanks |

I'm looking for a similar thing for an E92 2010, even though this is an android does it still sync up to iPhone? How difficult is it taking the radio out and putting this in? Cheers |

Thanks for reply.
Just want to know which model will fit to my 2007 e90. Your Eonon looking good. Dab radio and all features are good? Do I need any extra parts to install eonon? |

The dab radio is crap, if you use the stickon Ariel for the front windscreen. I bought mag mount ariel, which sit inside the boot.
Also I had to connect the blue cable from the headunit ( amp turn on) to pin 13 on the bmw harness plug, to turn on the rear window radio ariel https://www.dabonwheels.co.uk/produc...twig-dma-1004/ |

Have a look at my build thread. I've got the Xtrons 9 inch unit. which will be the same as the Eonon but with a bigger screen.

Did connecting the blue aac wire to permanent live cure the memory loss when you switch it off?
Also, have you worked out how to get the split screen function working? |

So I sorted the problem where the headunit would not keep the correct time after I changed it (and also syncs the car clock to the wrong time).
No need for the extra power wire, just do the following: Settings scroll down to factory settings password:126 default power status; memory of last status apply exit yes to reboot Worked straight away ![]() Still haven't worked out how to make the split screen work though ![]() |

For me those cheaper units with nav built in etc, have awful fm radio reception and sound sounds very very poor by comparison to stock head units. Save your money, phone for nav with bluetooth aux in in the centre console, for music streaming. Only other option where you keep stereo side of it is the newer F style screens which your dash have to be cut into for. Looks great when installed and you keep your oem functions.

Sorry but I have to disagree, I have an Xtrons PX5 unit in mine and aside from my tuning mods it was by far the best thing I did. I had the base "Professional" stereo setup which is absolute kitty litter compared to the new unit. I have absolutely no problem with FM radio anywhere and I have made no modification to the aerial. As for the sound, the stock units are heavily EQ'd because the stock speakers are basic mid drivers so even if you upgrade the speakers, you have a funky EQ curve to deal with and the pathetic 18W per channel. No thanks. The PX5 Unit has 45W per channel and an EQ to adjust and there are custom roms and sound mods to further enhance the sound and experience here - https://forum.xda-developers.com/and...re-development Paired with MB Quart coax speakers on the rear shelf, tweeter upgrade up front and a nice 10" sub in the boot, I genuinely don't feel the need to do anything further. Now I'm not saying its the best setup out there, far from it. But is it better than a stock system? Yes, by a galactic mile.... |
