Preventative maintenance on a N57 330d engine
Hi guys,
so far I've changed the vibration damper, done a transmission oil change, cleaned the radiators and the area around the intercooler, changed the diff oil, changed all 4 springs on the suspension, cleaned the intake manifold from CBU. Most of these are just part of the regular maintenance, but some people don't do it at all. So, what else should I clean/change so I can have the next 1 year with no major troubles? Water pump, brake line hoses, engine mounts are all on the list for a change, even though they have no signs of excessive wear or damage. Should I do something on the transmission (auto)? I have the xHP Stage 3 remap on for 20k km. The car is 2010 330D, N57, with 180k km (110k miles) on it. DPF, EGR delete, custom exhaust system from the turbo with one cat and one muffler. I have a custom made remap (around 260hp on the wheels ~ 320hp on the engine). Cheers |
