Hey guys I know this has been discussed numerous times already but I'm thinking of going to a doc racing single turbo since my twins appear to be leaking!
My only concern is that I have an auto transmission and was wondering if it will be able to handle the single turbo. It seems like with less torque down low it wouldn't be much of an issue but I'm not very educated on the subject Probably shooting for just above 600hp Also curious of how the single turbo would feel I'm running just a jb4 with stock turbos and the torque is nice, I'm sure a single has quite a bit of lag! I recently got a daily driver so I was planning to build the n54 Also a pictured attached for some response motivation *Edit also wondering if it's even possible to pass emissions with a single turbo, does the doc kits downpipe have any sort of cat?

The DOC kit is a vary nice kit.. The Downpipe is catless..
In terms of tranny and power handling it all depends on how hard you are going to want to push the turbos. If you max them out I don't think the tranny will hold. Also if you are really concerned about low end lag then you may want to look at some of the Hybrid turbo options like PURE or VTT. Mike |
