Boeing did an absolutely outstanding job of covering for the first crash... won't be able to get away with it twice... My thinking is that is is perhaps an overly complex new design that Boeing has not properly given directives to airlines on crew training... or it's just a faulty design. No other option really exists here... we'll see, in any case i think Boeing is screwed here.

I'd say start using Bombardier, but frick me it is a Quebec company, which means it is rife with corruption, bribery and self entitlement, so you really can't win. A comparable plane would cost you probably $1 Trillion direct from Bombardier, but if you buy it through a third party such as say, SNC-Lavalin, you could probably get it for $1M more than direct price, but get a bribe back of $12M to your pocket directly.

While flying is still safe, I have to confess, these latest crashes do have me a little more worried. Probably some innate fear of falling is why dying in a plane seems more horrible than dying in a car crash.
