Retrofit 12v socket - RHD
Hi,
I'm a bit annoyed that I can only find one 12v socket in my E92. It's in the armrest and seems to be quite cramped to plug much into it... I've read/seen that there apparently should be one underneath the glovebox in the passenger side... but I've taken a look and there certainly isn't on there. https://www.e90post.com/forums/showp...67&postcount=4 The guy who started that thread seems to be from the UK as well, so I'm wondering if this is something that wasn't fitted to RHD models. Can anyone confirm this is a LHD-only part, or can I get the RHD equivalent? If I can get a RHD one, does anyone have the part number and is it easy to retrofit? I'm looking on RealOEM but I'm a bit lost as it's been a long time since I've had to consult it Thanks |

I think I've finally got somewhere looking at RealOEM. I couldn't find that part, but I've found some others...
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=51_5724 I think I have part #8... so could I potentially replace it with part #10? That appears to have a 12v socket built-in and would be perfect for my use. Would there likely be wiring already there, or would I need to run my own? I could potentially take a look under there at the weekend as I have a dashcam to wire-up and some ancient aftermarket satnav to remove from the car so I'll probably be pulling the dash apart anyway |

Apologies for quality, my phone kept going really cloudy whenever I went near the footwell for some reason... but definitely nothing I can see under the glovebox, or on the drivers side... Nothing in the front of the console... just the one awkward one in the armrest

Definitely not there, but good to know it can be fitted to a RHD car.
Do you happen to know the part number? I couldn't work out where that would be on RealOEM Thanks |
