How much should it cost?
How much should the installation of an aftermarket exhaust cost on an E90 335i? Is a normal exhaust/muffler shop ok for this or should I try and find a tuner shop? Thanks.

1-1.5 hours labor for full downpipe-back exhaust.
Less for just switching out mufflers (section 3) like Eisenmann/Bastuck.

Got the UR cat-back installed for a little over $200 in north jersey. Depending on the exhaust it could be higher but for a bolt-on like the UR it shouldn't be too much as its really not that complicated. The OEM exhaust comes off in one big piece. My biggest problem is finding the space to store it.

If its a bolt-on exhaust then I would invest in a set of Rhino Ramps and do it yourself. I couldn't see paying more than $100 for an exhaust install. I guess maybe $150 if your exhaust had to be cut/welded.

I had my Section III Eisenhaus Race installed/welded for $75 bucks.
Shop around until you get a good price.

I just had a catback system installed yesterday at a shop. Better allow 2 hours by the time you get the tips aligned etc and the hangers are a bitch, I am glad I did not do this in the garage on stands. Plus the tips really need to be spot welded for good centering before clamping, clamping just didn't get the job done. That is if your tips are seperate items. My 2 cents.

I would go for welding over clamps also. Some say the exhaust sounds better too.
