Brake Covers

I hate the fact that a car in this segment does not come with brake covers.

I hate looking at those ugly steel brake calipers.

Is there a BMW brake caliper cover available? Or is there an aftermarket one?

Has anyone done this mod?

Bavauto.com has a caliper cover. I don't think It would look like a real BBK, just a wannabee and everyone would know it. You can paint yours, there is a DIY on this forum somewhere and that looks better depending on the color you paint it.

Just checked bavauto and they do look cheap and tacky.

No car in any segment has brake covers, just varying amounts of pistons and paint.

Putting a sleeve over your calipers is truly an awful idea, the last thing you want to do is keep heat in.

I always thought the coloured calipers were brake caliper covers.

I don't want to put a cheap sleeve on the calipers - I want something like the Porsche setup. Its a bit annoying that the 1er has them and the 3 doesn't.

ive been wondering if the brakes from the 1er will fit our cars..hmmm

prob. be more expensive than getting an aftermarket BBK setup though..
