Obviously, there is something I need to understand ... better.

I am confused by different ads (not only from your company) about terminology and applications. Maybe you or somebody can shed some light here.

For example on the Predator Ice web page, it is not expensive so I figure that it is an upgrade for an existing system? It is mentioned that it "works with all Auto Leveling and Adaptive Lights", so is bi-xenon a prerequisite? "Direct OEM Replacement" for what exactly. Can it work with halogen? Confusing to me... it should be more specific.

I will replace my halogen with [bi-]xenon. The ones from Umnitza seem to have different proportions of outer spotlights compared to inner ones... right or wrong? Is the 'background' darker than standard BMW bi-xenon?

Now for all, about the MTEC kit on ebay, is it a real Xenon system or just a HID upgrade?

TIA.

predator ice is for xenon headlights only. if you have halogens this is not for you...HID upgrade is available to halogens.. i hope this helps you.

nyalpine90 is on the right track. The Predator ICE is ONLY for xenon headlights and replaces the stock halogen angel eye based module on the xenon headlights with an LED version.

Since you have halogens, your best option would be to go with our Projector90 headlights which swap out the entire assembly for a projector based xenon with built in Predator angel eyes to match the xenon white output.
