Misc wires next to MAF

Hi,

I was cleaning the MAF the other day and came up across these 2 cables, both unplugged.

Looked on realoem but to no avail... any ideas? Thanks in advance!

DISA cables. Normally they're hooked to the intake manifold with these plastic tabs. If you did a 3-stage Intake manifold swap from a 2006 330i (or a few others) you'd plug in the large and small DISA adjusting units to them.

Awesome info! My car doesn't have the 3-stage intake, though it does have the Euro intake box. I'm guessing one of the previous owners installed the 3-stage at some point and sold it...

Thanks!

If it gets really annoying and you don't want to install a 3IM, you can buy the plastic clips that plug into those plugs and let you hook them on the exterior of the intake manifold.

I'm pretty sure it's #25 here, but it's not showing up on any of the years it's supposed to.

You may want to just call Turner, Pelican, or your local dealer as they may be able to track one easier. The cost is insignificant as this is a $5 item or less. If I can find one, I'll post a pic for reference, or I'll shoot a pic of my old ones when I get home.

You can see the pieces you need (and where they go) at 2:15 and at 7:55 he takes them off. You would snap it into the connector and then slide it onto the existing mount on the intake manifold.

All said, a junkyard could be your best friend as well.
