I have a 2008 (09/2007) with iDrive and Logic 7 amp, etc. and I want to upgrade to the newer style system either CIC or the newer NBT if I can. I understand for CIC I would need the head unit, screen, and controller + combox. Is it the same for the newer NBT system? Or if I do the AVIN system should I just do the CIC upgrade? I understand that the CIC controller will work with my CCC system. If I kept CCC and added a CIC controller and the Avin system would that be the same effect as doing the full CIC upgrade? I would love a guide to what is compatible with what but all I can find pieces here and there.

NBT is very involved and requires the head unit and an emulator and a atm if you want more features!

What do you mean about emulator and ATM? One more question, will a F10/X3 CIC controller work with my CCC system after coding? I have heard the E90 CIC controllers work but I may be able to get a deal on one that came from a F10 model.
