Yup. I just wanted to point out location plays a big factor.

I'm die hard USAA. They are the best. We have two new BMWs (X3 and M4 ) and our rates are under $200 a month in NY. It's hard to find better in this place. Hell median property taxes here are $15000 a year.

Knock on wood my speeding "problem" has been kept under wraps the last few years. Thank god for cop friends.

My property taxes last year were about a grand. You need to move. I also have no state income tax. Or car inspections of any kind. And lifetime concealed carry permits.

Why would I need more? I have an umbrella policy that covers any excess and I don't really need insurance otherwise, as I am financially stable enough to self insure. I also live in a state that caps tort litigation, so I can't be sued for damages much over those limits.

Non-economic damage caps in my state are $750K. My umbrella policy is many times more than that.

if you have separate health coverage then that's fine but i've never seen anything less than $1m bodily harm coverage.

You live in Canada. Things are different there. In addition, bodily harm coverage isn't even required in my location - as such, the vast majority of drivers here don't even have it.

I have personal health insurance to cover me and family members. From a personal liability concern, my umbrella coverage will cover liability for bodily injury up to $3 million dollars. This includes injury on my property or by one of my motor vehicles.

My umbrella policy is $390 per year.

I hate you

Kidding. I'm not under any delusions that this place is a ridiculously expensive D shithole. Family and work keep us here. If it wasn't for that my wife, baby and I would be somewhere we could ski/snowboard 100 days a year.

Edit: it took me a year just to get a "sportsman's" pistol permit here. Complete bullshit

LOL. My lifetime concealed carry permit was $100 and I submitted it via mail. The finger prints were done at my local UPS Store.

I put in 33 days on the snowboard this year, which are about 45mins from my house. Couple of photos at the slopes and also some views from my town. Come on down, we are a welcoming sort.

Must be Tennessee! That’s probably next on our list after a few years here in Florida. Just drove through eastern Tennessee / western North Carolina last week. Beautiful area to boot.

Yep. I live in East TN, up in the mountains right next to the NC border. I immigrated to TN from FL by way of HI, so yeah....lol.

Well that 'splains it. I cannot have that low of coverage and still have an umbrella through my current insurance. I have to carry $500K of coverage. But, my broker is currently shopping other coverage.

I have decent luck with Geico. Between 4 vehicles with full coverage per bank's requirement, I pay roughly $3K/year. This includes 7yr/100K miles extended warranties on my vehicles as well.

I had a 1999 Buick Century with a blown engine at 90K miles in 2004 and Geico, replaced the engine for me for $250.

They're also good if you have to be stationed overseas. They will provide you instant coverage with just a phone call.
