Reving while coasting in neutral AT
Looked around but could not find a definite answer, some say it's bad for the tranny some say it's fine.
I was driving through a small tunnel, about 50mph.. shifted my car into neutral and gave a quick rev, sounded soooooo goood. Shifted back to drive and kept driving. Is this bad for the tranny? Now I feel like I should have gotten a manual

It wears out the clutch packs since the transmission does not know how to rev match the rpm from your engine and the rpm of the transmission/driveline.

While coasting after shifting to neutral the rpm of the transmission will stay the same but the rpm of the engine will not especially after revving. If you don't know what rpm the engine should be at the speed you are going, and you shift into drive, the car goes into appropriate gear by taking in parameters like road speed and engine speed. However if the revs do not match then the car has to compensate by adjusting those parameters and thus possibly creating more wear for components like the clutch packs and torque converter as the car goes into gear.
