Smog check with MSD81 swap.

I have to do the STAR smog, but the problem is the the "Dad Box" at the smog station can't connect to the car. Every regular OBD scanner can. There is no JB4 and the car is on the OEM map.

I tried 3 stations and same issue on all 3. The only thing I can think of is my car is a 2007 and when mt ECU failed I replaced it with a MSD81 from a 2008+.

Has anyone passed a STAR smog with a MSD80 to MSD81 SWAP?

Yes, all fixed. BimECU fixed it for me. The ecu was originally replaced by Omar and whoever he used, made a small mistake. Inpa, protools, MHD was able to connect, but generic OBD scanners could not.
