Question about Bimmercode
Hey guys, for anyone using Bimmercode for coding, I'm having a hard time finding a complete list of what can be coded. I know there is a demo before you buy the app but, it seems pretty limited. Can you do everything with Bimmercode that you can with something like Carly? I'm looking for things like DRL control, lighting, and being able to close the windows/roof from the remote. I've never coded but I've read a ton on the forums and watched a bunch of videos. All I'm looking for is for someone to tell me Bimmercode and Bimmerlink are worth the money.

Bimmercodes website does a good job at listing all the possible options that can be coded. Since you're in the 3 series coding page I assume you have an e9X? They just released coding for e9x recently. See the link below to go through available options.

I was going to mention careful with coding the frm. 2011+ e9x's suffer from frm failure. You are covered under a 10 year 150,000 mile warranty. Brick it by scanning it, pulling the negative terminal or coding it and have it replaced for free at the dealerships. NOTE: bimmercode does not intentionally brick frm's, nor does bmw Carly. Any scanning tool or coding tool that writes or reads data of the frm can brick an frm. Bmw Carly does read boot sector information prior to writing coding data and will not allow it to code if it detects it will brick, I'm glad bimmercode also implemented this type of system as well. Ncs expert would've straight bricked it if you coded the frm

There's a good chance if you pull the negative terminal on the battery it'll brick it as it forces it to restart. The article below will explain the warranty and issues with frm
