Vanos adaptation reset
Just changed both vanos solenoids, is it worth resetting the vanos adaptation via the BT cable?
Or is that reset only if you've replaced the vanos systems itself? Cheers H Last edited by 335i E92; 11-27-2011 at 09:41 AM.. |

I would guess no. The VANOS adaptations would need to be reset after removing/replacing the actual VANOS timing adjusters, but not the PWM controlled solenoids. But I don't know for sure. I can't find any documentation in the TIS that says anything about the solenoids. I do know that it is not necessary for other engines such as the S54, etc, but those are older designs.
