Vanos adaptation reset

Just changed both vanos solenoids, is it worth resetting the vanos adaptation via the BT cable?

Or is that reset only if you've replaced the vanos systems itself?

Cheers

Thanks, i reset all my adaptations recently.

I was more concerned about this particular reset and if you need to after changing vanos solanoinds.

Anyone?

I would guess no. The VANOS adaptations would need to be reset after removing/replacing the actual VANOS timing adjusters, but not the PWM controlled solenoids. But I don't know for sure. I can't find any documentation in the TIS that says anything about the solenoids. I do know that it is not necessary for other engines such as the S54, etc, but those are older designs.

Can anyone tell me how to reset my Vanos Adaptations?

I have BMW carly, is there a specified tool that can do this.

Having similar issues with a 2011 328i get rough cold start and lost of torque in 1-4K RPM range - bought intake solenoid and camshaft sensor and still getting 2a7c & 2a82

Any help is greatly appreciated!
