Broken I drive wheel!

So I recently bought a 2011 E91 wagon. Brought the car to my parents house and one of them PULLED the I drive wheel off. The wires have been disconnected from the inside of the wheel and this looks far too precise to mend myself never mind fitting the wheel back on. (See attached)
I'm looking on eBay for possible replacements but I'm really shocked at the price, my controller has a five screw bracket and there's only a few of these for sale. Is there any advice anyone could offer me? Would any other shape/size/generation of controller fit and work?

the controller unclips from that 5 screw bracket and the brackets vary but the controller is the same across many vehicles, so mostly any controller in the 2009-2013 range will work and you can just pop it into your mounting bracket that will fit your console. Newer ones say Media instead of CD on them.

Here is where the controller from your year was used, so one from any of these models/years will fit using your mounting ring with the 5 holes.

Only the E70 and e90 LCI rows have controllers that will work for the OP's car. Pre LCI was the older controller.
