1) Clear your codes so you will get a fresh read on what is actually a current problem

2) Puddle of fuel under driver side headlight? Leak in fuel line - could be either the low pressure line from the pump in the tank or the high pressure rail after the HPFP. Just get all the covers off the engine, air box removed etc and give it a look.

There's a reason why you were able to buy this car for $1K. People don't give cars away, even when they need cash for something. There are likely a number of problems to work through. Have patience, proceed methodically and don't just start randomly replacing things. Read as much as you can and even more important, think.

Frankly, I'm still puzzling over how, if you'd seen fuel "pouring" out of the car, you decided the first thing to do was to replace the crankshaft sensor. The very first thing to do would be to find that leak. Unless you're planning to go up in a ball of flame and collect insurance

BTW 30BA and 30BB indicate serious internal problems with your DME. Sometimes its a blown MOSFET injector driver which is fixable, other times it's a world of expensive pain. 2FBC is another fuel code.

Oh, I misread - fuel near taillight, not headlight, correct?

Yes, if so fuel tank. Many possibilities but start by removing the rear seat so you can inspect the covers of the fuel pump and the pressure regulator.

No Dpaul you read correctly it's near the headlamp I wish I could post pics on here to show it but it's difficult to say the least no more space in Photobucket. Well the 2 serious codes I did some reading is that the ECU that went South. I can remove it and find someone who can soder it if it's a resister or two
