First symptoms of turbo smoking?

Started my car this morning and 4 minute into the drive at a stop light I notice this "burning" smell and see ab it of smoke in the air like foggyness, thinking something is burning in my engine bay or car in front.

Drive one more minute since I was near the bus parking and I notice it's coming out from exhaust... it's hard to describe the smell but IMO it didn't really smell like oil? Then it seemed to stop, I revved the car a bit and no smoke nothing? Oil temp was around 80c.

I'm at work and I can't wait until tonight to see more so I'm just curious is this how turbo seals start to go and show symptoms?

Turbo seals letting go results in a smoke cloud on deceleration, typically.

Ah boy ok, so would explain why I noticed it once I arrived at stop light.

I had this issue also. did you make anything else on your car?

my smoking came due to mr5 mod. the pipe came of and sucked in dirty air or something and created that smoke. repaired and smoke is gone. that was 500 miles ago and I am fine.

No nothing has been changed recently. I am tuned though and all that.

I notice now it rarely happens but when it does happen it like betweeen 30 seconds to 5 minutes of the car starting up with the oil temp under maybe... 80c?

Maybe my turbos are just starting to wear. I don't know what else it could be. I am full catless but never seen this smoke before if I recall correctly.
