Hello all, my belove 330i reached 40K already and that's means 10K more before the warranty expire. I checked around for a extended warranty to100k with the luxury package option.. Most company likes warranty direct, AAA, are asking around 3K+ for the cover, what do you all think;
What kind of a problem from BMW do I need to look for when it reached 50k and the factory warranty is out??

P.S. love my car and try to get my $$$ worth for it, so there I put in 40K miles in less than 2 years..


A) Purchase the extended warranty for protection/values
b) Dont worry about it because BMW is a reliable car??
c) Which is the best warranty company out there to buy?

I have elected not to extend my warranty. I am sitting at 48,400 miles.

I have however had a flurry of items replaced in the last couple of weeks

brakes
rotors
steering wheel cover flaking
door handle flaking
wipers
brake fluid flush
passenger airbag sensor mat (TSB on this one)
drivers side tweeter replaced

You read my mind. There was another thread about extended warranty already and I saw where AAA covers everything, but do they cover aftermarket mods or engines that have been upgraded?

Same situation as the OP, 06 330 with 40K now. I have extended maint. and I asked about the BMW extended warranty and my SA at Concord BMW told me about the Zurich warranty. She tells me it's better than the BMW warranty b/c it covers things like I-Drive and other electronics which the BMW warranty does not. I am thinking about buying it. I don't have an exact price, but my SA estimates it willl be around $2500 or so.

I didn't extend my maintenance warranty eithor, I just passed 54,000 on my 330i, tried to have a bunch of work done before I hit 50k.
wiper blades
brake flush
inspection
my pads were fine(11mm)
They never replaced my passenger airbag sensor when i took my car multiple times to the dealership, now since i have the CPO 100k they want to charge me 50$ deductible to order the sensor.
I'll be changing out my "lifetime" rear diff. oil myself, coolant flush, oil change, fuel filter, and checking my plugs when i hit 58k. Also change my oil every 7500 miles.
Get Your door handles updated if you already haven't done this. Mine were sticking. (replaced for free)

If it really is just 2,500 then hot diggity damn! Thats a good deal for another 50k of coverage
