Noob in need of some help please

I've taken a punt on purchasing what seems to be an F10 Bavsound upgrade kit which comprises of 4 4" midrange door speakers all with tweeters and a 4" centre speaker with tweeter .....Bavsound

It also includes 2 Ground Zero GZCS 200BMW underseat subs.....Ground Zero

A JL Audio JX250/1D Amp......JL Audio

I'm hoping to fit as much of this as possible into a pre LCI 335i E93 with Idrive and UK base stereo i.e. no tweeters or amp but plenty crap sound. It's also worth noting that I've fitted an 8.8" Avin Android screen replacing the CCC which plugs into the Aux in in the armrest.

I'm thinking I'll need another amp and Technic harness minimum but to be honest it's way over my head. I've read all the threads but there's nothing similar to what I have to compare.

Anyone any ideas of where to start?

Bimmertech Helix 86dsp kit
with a three way speaker kit for the front speaker from
the more popular front kits is what I would have done.
Also Bavsound had the Helix BMW 7 amp as an upgrade.

You could buy those directly from Helix (audiotec fisher ) if you
wanted to do the tuning and buy the Harness.

Which F10 system are you starting out with?
Since this is the e90 forum we don't know what the F10 got in your
country. Base system continued world wide or is the new Hi Fi
system standard in your country?

I take it you got that one channel amp for the subs and it did not
come from Bavsound.

Thanks for the reply Ctuna and sorry if I haven't been clear enough.

I'm only guessing it's an F10 kit as I bought all of it together secondhand for a price I couldn't refuse, unused but without much info. The mountings on some of the tweeters and the center not being coaxial I'm assuming it's the F10 kit as it looks exactly like the kit in the Bavsound link in the first post.

Worst case scenario I just fit 4 of the mids front and back, 2 tweeters in the front and the subs without the amp and use my existing wiring but I'm thinking I'd just be putting bad sound thru better speakers.

I'd like to add some kind of amp/DSP to enable me to 1. add a center channel 2. clean up the sound on all other channels.

You can buy the tweeter pods from Bmw they are not that expensive
and it will look stock.(for the front doors)They have them for the e93
too they replace the triangle's at the front of the door.

https://www.e90post.com/forums/showp...9&postcount=19
the tweeter pods for the e90 may not be the same as the F30 but
they will have some.

Helix/match 86dsp , BMW 7 or V8 are awsome DSP/amps.
Also there is similar stuff from Mosconi ,JL audio and others
But I think Helix is ahead of them in the DSP area.

F10 kit from who for what?

You may want to consider reprogramming to Hi Fi for the low level
outputs to an amp. Running speaker level into a DSP and can handle
the eq is the alternative.

Better try to find out the ohms rating and power rating on those speakers
something that Bavsound is not good about revealing,or hasn't been.
You will need to know when matching amp power.

I actually got 4 tweeter pods (2 for E93) with the foam backing included in the sale along with wiring for the amp and woofers. Basically I bought a box of stereo upgrades without knowing exactly what BMW model they were for but cheap enough they were worth a punt as I'm assuming they're all the same 4" 3 leg midrange speakers in all the Bavsound BMW kits

These are all the speakers included ....Link along with 2 Ground Zero GZCS 200BMW-SW underseat woofers and the JL Audio JX250/1D amp.

I like the idea of that 86DSP ctuna but considering a couple of weeks ago I was only going to try a £90 (approx $110) Cyrus USB DAC to try and improve the sound from the Avin unit it's going to change my budget dramatically. Would the 86DSP be overkill for the Bavsound speakers?

Considering I have 5 midrange, 5 tweeters and 2 woofers, that amp/DSP will run all of them, correct? Leaving the JL Audio sub amp obsolete or would you use the preouts for the JL Audio amp?

86dsp has 8 channels at 55 watts into 4 ohms.
plus additional channels of dsp only I think not sure .
Avin is not noted for there audio quality .
But the base system is also a POS.

https://www.audiotec-fischer.de/en/m...fiers/pp-86dsp

A single channel JL amp is intended to drive a true subwoofer.
