CIC swap

Hi all,

Just looking for some help and advice,

I have a 2007 e90 330i. I had the cic and combox retrofit done a couple of years ago, however I’ve now managed to get hold of a dab cic unit so want to replace the retrofitted cic with the new dab version.

Swapping the hardware etc is straightforwards so not concerned with that part, I’m just unsure about the coding and activation process.

From what I know my current cic was script activated so it doesn’t use an emulator or additional hardware.

Does anyone know if it would be a straight forward job?

Bump, I’ve done a lot of reading and the coding side of it seems to be confusing any coders able to offer any advice?

Just follow any CIC retrofit coding guide.

You'll need to activate your new CIC in the same way if you want Nav etc.

It will also need expert coding to your VO. If it's on latest firmware you can use CIC Patcher to activate.
