Hey shoei,
I may be on the Graceful Leader also, although I won't know for sure until I can talk to my CA tomorrow. My e92 335i completed production back on 3/17 and the OC website changed to "En Route" today, so I'm hoping it got on that ship. I was following another thread on bimmerfest where 2 other people had cars on the same schedule as me and they were on that ship. I'm hoping so because April 8th isn't that far away!

jordan, you're forgetting... it docks on the 8th (hopefully) and then comes the long lengthy process of more quality control, passing through customs, and then the trek to the dealership, plus more time at the dealership before we can pick up our cars...

i've heard average of 10 days AFTER ship docks... *sigh*

Yeah that's true shoei, that extra week is going to kill me knowing it's so close. I just confirmed with my CA that the scheduled ETA of the ship is the 8th, so I'm assuming it's on the Graceful Leader. Can't wait!

^ Ahoy mates, I'm just over from bimmerfest and we captured Panama Canal webcam shots of the GL arriving (11:45am 4/2/08) and departing (7:19 pm 04/02/08):

The ETA is 4/8 to San Diego, 4/10 to Long Beach and finally dropping off your rides at Port Hueneme on the 11th. Glad to know there are others on board.

Today @ 12:30AM the Graceful Leader arrived at Port Hueneme.

It is expected that the stevedores are working it by now and the VPC will be receiving the deliveries shortly.

I'm curious to know how long it will take for my vehicle to get from Port Hueneme to my dealer (~90 mi north). Speaking with my CA, he said I should have the vehicle in my garage by next week....I wonder how much truth there is to that.

5-7 business days is the average turn around period, so your CA is correct... the way i see it, you've waited this long, what's another 5 days??

lol... gary, according to bmwusa, it says vehicle is in transit, but when i CALL bmwna, it states that my vehicle is at the port awaiting transport, lol...
so essentially, as of now, no clue as to where my car is, i figure i'll panic come monday, and call my CA...

So I just checked the OC website and it says my car is at my BMW center! Although my CA just emailed me and said it should arrive at the dealership tomorrow? (I wonder why the OC website would be ahead of the dealership's info?). Anyway, hopefully I can pick it up tomorrow or Friday. Can't wait!

Go for it Jordan. You are our measuring stick for delivery off of the Graceful Leader. Whereas Shoei who started the thread in in real panic mode now. Too funny.

I picked up my new e92 335i after work today and so far so good! I'm still playing with all the settings and getting everything setup the way I want it, but I love it so far. Good luck to everyone that was on the Graceful Leader, you should be getting yours soon!

Several of us seemed to be stalled out in the VPC since the truck carrier still has no record of it in their hands.

lol... hey gary, whassup... congrats jordan BTW... and as for my car, it's scheduled to be at dealer saturday, or monday at the latest... and no, i'm still in "panic mode", i haven't made up my mind yet... someone on this board, i won't mention any names, is trying to convince me to go M3, lolol...

we'll see, i've got another 24 hours or so to make up my mind... i guess this would be what they refer to as "crunch time"...

So shoei you got to move now:

Mine got in to the dealers this morning. Thankfully in one piece. I randomly went by to test drive a 135 for fun and my CA took me in back to surprise me. It's a tad dusty from a week at the VPC but glad it's here. I get it on Monday. Your dealer must have yours by now if they can get one to Humboldt today.
