Help with CSL reps

I'm thinking about getting some CSL reps and I had two questions before I make a choice. First, which is better VMR VB3's or the Miro CSL? Second, can I put my existing Bridgestone RFTs on either of them with my TPMS? My wife's Honda has RFTs and you can only use the one tire with the one wheel (criminal in my mind).

Vmr's are better.

The Miro's have almost NO concavity and it looks ridiculous IMO. The beauty of the OEM CSL wheels lies in the concavity of the rears. Without that, its nothing special.

The VMR's are the most concave out of the replica wheels. The front offset of the VMR's suck though.

The front offset of the VMR wheels is ET40 or 40MM however you want to look at it. It is extremely conservative and the wheels sit tucked too far in. If they had an offset of 35 or 33 it would look ALOT better.

The best combination for CSL reps would be VMR rears with Miro fronts, but the only issue with that is the color of the wheels matching AND the fact that the face design of each replica is slightly different.

I've got the Miro's and think they looks great. Nice finish, and attention to spoke detail. Get plenty of compliments. Here are a few pics to help you out..

I liked the VMR's enough to buy them...look better IMO.

I do agree the front need a little more aggressive offset. I plan on adding a spacer in teh near future.

VMR are way better in my opinion, I saw the Miro in person and couldn't even tell the difference between the front or back. I love the look of staggered wheels and the Miro just looked too tame. EAS sells the VMR in a nice Gunmetal.

vmr all the way, must be the best csl reps around, and other than the looks, the most important factor, for me anyway, was the concavity on the rears.

it looks realy aggresive if your walking up to it from the front and to the side a bit.

I personally prefer the design and concavity of the VMRs.

You can do the VMRs in 18's with your stock RFTs as well. Feel free to drop me a PM with any questions

Thanks. Helpful as always. I may just talk the wife into breaking bread for the Morr's. But if I do that, she may be reluctant to fork over the probable $1300-$1500 for the Procede V 3.0. Decisions, decisions.

Well both are great - there are subtle design differences between the two(both are great companies). Miro's have an agressive front design, and lighter weight, and truer to OEM CSL design. The Velocity's come in various colors, have a difference concavity design, also have an 18's!

Malekreza11 - No concavity? what do you call the rear on this picture here?
The Miro's start later in the concavity - because their spokes follow the curvature of the real OEM CSL's, there is a difference in the spokes. You are in Irvine right, you are welcome to come check out the wheels yourself or check them out at Bimmerfest.

If Miro's follow the same pattern as OEM then I wouldn't like the OEM one either.

So I'm looking at the offsets for the VMR wheels on their website and they say 20mm and 40mm for fronts and 22, 33 and 45 for rear. Which combo should I go with? I do some occasional spirited driving through mountain roads and the local short track soon, so I don't want to sacrifice any of the existing handling characteristics.

You would want to go with the VMR's 19x8.5 ET40 front and 19x9.5 ET33 on the rear. We've got more in stock. However for the driving your describing you may want to consider getting 18's?

You can give me a call we can discuss your options, we are just now getting more wheels in stock so we'll be able to help you out

Definitely the 19x9.5 ET33 rear, that's the ideal E9x offset. You will also run 235/35/19 and 265/30/19 front and rear tires.

This may aid in your decision but VS7s are all sold out right now.

I'm thinking of trying out the staggered 18-inch CSL reps with 225/45-18 and 255/40-18 (possibly the new Bridgestone RE760; I'm thinking the slightly larger diameter should help the speedo error). What front and rear offset would be correct on my E92 335?

Currently to whats available - 18x8.5 ET 40 on the front and 18x9.5 ET45 on the rear - then you'd want to put a 10mm /12mm Hubcentric spacer with extended wheel bolts on the rears to make it look more flush. Those tire sizes are perfect

If you do the 18's staggered, then 18x8.5 ET40 and 18x9.5 ET33. Velocity now offers the rears in an ET33 E9x offset so no need for spacers at all

We recommend a 225/45/18 and 255/40/18 front and rear tire setup.

Do you carry this setup would you recommend the 18in staggered setup for an E90 335xi?

The 18" staggered setup is great on your car, but the correct fitment is the 225/40R18s for the fronts and the 255/35/R18s for the rears without any rubbing at all. We actually have a special on the wheels w/ Nitto tires if you're looking for a staggered setup. Let me know if you have any questions.
