Chips in windshield
Is there any way to remove small chips in a windshield without replacing it? Mine is absolutely covered with very small chips the size of a ballpoint pen nib or less, not actually cracking the glass but making it look really dirty, like there are white spots all over it. I've had an actual stone chip that cracked the glass repaired before and it looks great, but these don't really count and there are literally hundreds of them, a by-product of all the gravel during the winter. Anybody have any experience with polishing the windshield or any products that can fill these chips?

I have yet to find such a product. I called around a couple of years ago, and was told that there issue revolving around visual distortions.
Same reason why glass companies won't repair cracks, dings lager than "X" which are in your line of sight. |
