The amount of badge snobbery is astonishing. Every maker started somewhere, not as if they automatically became premium brands. Respect (and rep) is earned, not given. So if a supposed premium maker starts to slip, they shouldn't be allowed to rest on their laurels (thereby continuing to charge ridiculous prices for substandard products). The reason we have overpriced widgets is due to blind and stubborn badge snobs.

Great cars, a Miata even in Fiat form is hard to beat for roadsters. I'll be interested to see what they're going to do with the inline 6 that they're developing for the next Mazda 6. I'd love to see it in a Miata, I think a naturally aspirated I6 Miata would be an awesome car!
