Timing chain noise??? Help
I have a 2011 335i e92 with the N55 it only has 60k miles and I have this noise coming from the inside of the engine. I took the valve cover to inspect the chain and the cams they all look good and nothing looked broken in there. While I had everything off I replaced the timing tensioner thinking it would fix the problem but it didn't. I am thinking it needs a new chain and guides. Let me know what you think
Heres a vid of the noise View post on imgur.com |

I never had this noise before. My friend has exact same car as me and I took the oil cap and his car doesn’t have that grinding noise. Also I went on vacation for a week and let the car sit after I came back it had this noise. I’ve been driving it thinking it was a lifter but still hasn’t gone away after a month.
