Part # for Screws that hold on the air filter?
I looked through Tischer's site and could not find the Part# for the 8mm screws that hold on the airfilter for the 335i
Thanks! |

he's got to be talking about the microfilter.
speaking of which, is the microfilter just for cabin air? I have yet to replace mine and I have 37k miles on the car. It looks downright nasty.

I think thats one of the 4/50K warranty things... you might have to ask them to replace it..
I just hit mine with some compressed air.. looks better now.

You know guys, I've ordered these hex bolts 07147146540 twice now (because I thought I got the wrong ones the first time) and both times the ones I got were not correct.
I got them from Tischer and the ones I got were a grey metal color (with a larger threading I think( and the ones that hold the microfilter on are black with a slightly smaller threading. I've tried ordering these ones too and they aren't right either: 07119904268 07119902932 Has anybody else found the right ones? |

They are the right ones, just not black and they have a larger hex head. I thought they were wrong as well but it is what they are using for replacements. Dead giveaway on the ECU access but WTF.

Not Necessarily, I have had Cam shaft work, and I assume this piece would have to be removed to have full access to the top of the engine.

Well, I guess I'll just spray paint them a flat or satin black then. But if ever questioned, you can always say you had to take it off for a dyno run (which you kind of do for ease of getting under the engine cover to clamp on the rpm signal) or that you wanted to see if you could clean the microfilter yourself and took it off and dropped a screw or two in the process. |

Anyone take delivery of a new 335i in the past 2-3 months?
If so, wonder if those screws now come like the "replacement" hex screws or still come with the black ones with the smaller screw thread? |

This is an old post but I'm having this exact issue trying to get the right screw. One one the right is from my 2007 e90 which is the part 07147146540 I thought I ordered. It was cross referenced to part 07147118369 and I received the screw on the left. It is not even close to replacing the original in length and size.
Can anybody help resolve this? ![]() Thanks Fred |

It is silver and instead of NA on the head it had S. You will need to spray the head black if you want it to match the others. I couldn't get any help on this and it drove me crazy! NOTE: I had to very carefully epoxy the internal nut that spins loose when you give too much torque when tightening. You have to put something in to pull it up and a small piece of tape around what you are using to pull it up so it doesn't get epoxied closed. I used a deck screw, long nose vice grips and 2 blocks of wood on either side to hold it tight until the epoxy bonded. Hope this helps someone that is having the same problem. |

Going with OE screws is pointless. Just buy a box of 50 from here:
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 These look/feel/smell/etc. identical to the stock units. |

Then I ordered the 07143428231 bolts after I found this post and they fit perfectly. They're pretty cheap too: only 67 cents each from FCP Euro. Thanks for posting the part number! |
