Code 2D61

Hey all,
I have a 2012 335i Xdrive. Driving into work this morning I saw codes 2D61 and 2C58. Looking around I can't figure out if it is VANOS or throttle related, different sites say different things. Carly is showing this:

2C58 - Boost pressure control: shutdown due to reaction
2D61 - VANOS, outlet: not reached control error, position

I know 2C58 is just telling me limp mode. Should I try new solenoids?

Forgot to mention that I saw these codes a week ago but I was rushed and just cleared them and they now just came back.

Can't help you on this, but codes will store freeze frame data that can help you (or your tech) diagnose the issue. Don't just delete codes because you were in a rush

Have you had the vanos bolt recall performed?

It has started again. The problem arises on cold morning and typically will throw the code in the first ten minutes of driving. Clearing the codes seems to fix everything for the drive but usually requires a restart. I’ll try cleaning and swapping the solenoids today. Can anyone confirm 2D61 is actually associated with the vanos?

I don’t think I had the vanos boot recall done.

Is there oil in the engine?

I don't think the N55 solenoids can get dirty or fail. That was only a problem on N54's which would eat their camshafts and send all the shavings into the solenoid.
