Plate Blackout
Gentlemen,
Just wondering: why is it that some folks feel the need to obscure their number plates? Is this some great state secret that can be reveled on the roads, but not on a forum? Just one of those things I've always wondered about.... Cheers, - SteveN |

I am a member of the special ops team in the military (SASR) so i have no choice but to cover up my number plates for identity reasons. I don't know about others though.

There were some carefully planned thefts a few years back at a car show... The thieves got the numberplates written down, then went into the show and knocked off the ones on their list... I would imagine alot of people could be worried about this?
I am not so worried, but then again, I don't go plastering my plate all over the internet either!

I'm not fussed about mine being shown.
Never really saw the point in covering them up anyway.
