Bi-xenon to halogen
Alright, so this is opposite to the normal conversion. I need to go from xenons to halogen headlights. The background: I imported my US car to Spain and they require bi-xenon headlights to have functioning headlight washers. Apparently my car does not have that system installed. There's no way around it.
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?p=18063280 I have been recommended to go the halogen route to get around this. What do I need to do this? Halogen bulbs, and reroute the power source to 12V? Anything else? For somone who knows what they do, how long does this job take? I hate to give up on my xenons, but I plan on changing back as soon as the inspection is completed, and when it's time for inspection I will change it back. I guess option two would be to have a washer system installed, if at all possible. What does this require as far as parts, and what approximate labor, how many hours are we talking about? |

I don't think the E92 ever had halogens available anywhere in the world, so you're stuck with trying to retrofit the headlight washers.

What did you end up doing? Did you figure out how to get Halogens working properly? I'm currently in the exact same position. I replaced the headlights, the FRM module with another one from a halogen car. Headlights work but the car keeps locking and unlocking itself. I'm stuck and don't know what to do. |
