Service Interval
Guys,
Not sure which section this would go in, but I just got my 12k Service done yesterday. They changed my oil and air filter. On top of that I made them change my rotors are brake pads (because of the squeaking brakes), and am coming back next week for a Progman update. Anyway here is the question: I looked at my iDrive service menu and it says that the next time I need an oil change is at 14,000miles. I think the tech made a mistake on this, what is the next service interval after 12,000miles? I assume 24,000... |

BMW service is not based on mileage. There is no 12K mile service, etc. There is a "low-mileage" service at one year intervals before the car tells you it's time for service.

My car is a little over a year old (since I bought it), however BMW refused to do an oil change, since it's still 11000 miles on it, and they said they only do an oil change (service) when the light for service is up on your dashboard.

My 335i was purchased 4/20/07. I just got my oil change this morning at 11,300 miles. No questions asked. Prompt courtious service. Invoice said low mileage oil service. Also got my headlights fixed. They were stuck in the low position. They checked everything and it was all OK. Then they did a control module reset and bingo it corrected the prblem.
