By definition Harmon Kardon and Logic 7 are the same.
At least on these boards.
Some of the other options may not show up if you have them.

To program modules on the Most Bus you need and expensive Icom cable
for cars made after 3/07

So there won't be any break in the most then and I just have to code my options onto the head unit? I don't need to change anything in my VO if I just code everything in my head unit because I'm not changing anything except the physical head unit correct?

No the head unit has lots of settings in it .
The including the one for Logic 7.
It interacts with bluetooth , Sos , Sat , PDC and DaB modules.
Which is why its a big pain to put in an aftermarket head unit.

yes your settings for each module are stored in the vo (cas/frm).
So you default code to the factory settings.
However you will need and Icom cable for a car made after 3/07
for coding of Most Bus modules (which means anything attached
to the Most Bus including the head unit)

This also assumes you are replacing it with the same model head unit.
Won't work for cic to ccc or ccc to nbt.

pro radio should be more forgiving .

Okay so to factory setting I need the Icom cable and I don't have idrive so I should be pretty good to go right?

Yep I would try to find somebody that has an Icom before buying
one though and you will need to setup the bmw coding software.
You might get Lucky and get one that is plug and play but you would
have to pretty lucky for that to happen.
See the coding subforum for info on coding and getting a coding
setup going on a laptop.

I don't know how far they have taken stereo programing with pro tool
you would have to ask Bimmergeeks. As far as I know you have to have
an Icom cable to program anything on the Most Bus after 3/07 builds,
which suggests you need the full Standard Tools Set . I would call
Bimmergeeks and ask them or contact them someway.

I thought it pretty much said what Pro Tool could do on there website.

Alright I'll talk to them and see what they say, I will also update the thread to see if I get the HU and successfully have it working

So the new unit had bluetooth and maybe usb built in
and you where able to code it with pro tool
COOL. didn't know that could be done.
Did you talk to Bimmergeeks about it.
What was the procedure?
Or did you just get one that was pre coded?
Is there a section on Stereo Coding.
Did you see the new options take effect?

I did not talk to them I figured if it didn't work and couldn't figure it out I could always resell it lol but they have a section under entertainment for the headunit and you can code a bunch of stuff on there and you can add or deactivate the usb and Bluetooth, there's a function I used that pulls your VO and you can default code the headunit according to what your order shows and that's what I did and then I went in to code out some stuff and code some things I had before it was really easy and pretty much straight forward lol

For the headunit yes there's a coding setting I think called audio setup and I think it's the different options like hifi, top hifi ect.
