BMW Mailing - New Nav DVD Available
BMW sent me a flyer that a new DVD was available for my Nav. I have an 08 E93 and picked it up in 11/07. Does anyone think it is worth $199 to upgrade yet? I can't imagine that much has changed. Anybody know the differences? Thanks in advance!

Yes, you can go back to your old 2007.2 (I assume) and it will work just fine. You might have to restart the system after 5 minutes though!

i inserted the disc and the system said to start it back up in 5 minutes. i did and the navigation was working. how do i know if i have the updated version or not?
i realize that i might not see any noticeable changes, but i wasn't sure if there was any place to check a version number? for anyone that lives in the southwest suburbs near Chicago, IL...are you surprised that the 355 extension was not added? of course i am assuming i have the latest update. thanks everyone. i am still seeding. |

Navteg just released the new version last month March 08 and if your version is 2007.2 I don't think it's worth to upgrade.

In general, there are not a lot of changes for 2 versions since 2007.1
I mean changes in the roads. There might be more data on POIs. Some of us just want to have the latest.
