Incorrect boost readings

When I originally purchased my car it had wastegate rattle. Ended up rebuilding the wastegates and it now felt like all of it was there but the 30ff never went away. So I picked up a aem digital boost gauge and found that mhd and the boost gauge aren't reading the same numbers. And for some background the cars on a stage 2 mhd tune with vrsf Downpipes and charge pipe and bms dual cone intakes. Mhd only sees around 8-9 psi while the aem boost gauge reads around 17-18. Id be grateful for any suggestions. I'm super stumped at this point. Thanks

id trust mhd more than the digital boost reader, and if 30ff never went away you are obviously not hitting your boost targets

MHD is going to use what the sensor/DME "sees" I believe, while the AEM gauge is going to use the actual boost pressure to show on the gauge. Maybe the tmap sensor is going bad?

Just a thought, not for sure.

Realistically isn't there anyway it could be the map or a incorrect reading I'm buying new pure stage 1 or 2 not sure yet but I'm just a little scared it'll make it worse if the problem wasn't the turbos. Oh and I did put a new map and tmap in

That's why I'm confused the aem's reading from the intake manifold and I've tried a new map

Anyone else got any ideas. I'm genuinely stuck at this point. I don't wanna buy turbos until I know it's al good in fear of blowing the new turbos
