BOV recommendations?

I don't want to offend anyone but personally I don't like the HKS whistle sound. To me it belongs on an import but not a BMW. I feel the Tial might be a bit quiet though. Are there other ones to consider that don't have the high pitched whistle?

Tial HKS and Turbosmart are the most popular options.

I have a Tial on my car and I love it. It's more of a "whoosh" noise than a whistle. I wouldn't call it loud, but it is very noticeable. My wife says it sounds like the car is sneezing. If you aren't on the car hard, you don't really notice it....but when you are up into the boost, you can definitely tell it's on there

I really like it.....and Tial makes good quality stuff.

Have you heard a hks without the fin insert? I didn't like the high pitched sound so I removed the fin and it sounds much nicer.

Garage List
I have replaced oem plastic DV (I had the impression they are ok as I was able to move them with my mouth vacuum, diaphragms were intact) by Forge DV and although I had no high expectations I was really surprised by the sharp reaction and amount of torque that became available :-) what I was seeing before was a rather slow boost build-up, now it hits like a sledgehammer :-)

all bovs sound like crap after silicone inlets

I use the TIal Q 50s on a bunch of cars, they all sound fantastic. On the N54, it ends up sounding like a high pitched sneeze. Even with a direct 1/4 line to the bov.
