Exclamation Oil added @ 2900 miles???

Hey Everyone,

I am freaking out. Today a warning message came up saying that I needed to add 1 quart of oil. Is this normal??? At only 2900 miles?????

After I added the quart of oil the warning disappeared and the oil level is reading OK.

I drive my car pretty hard (NEVER raced, or track the car), but it seems excessive to add 1 quart of oil this early.

I planning to take the car to the dealer but I wanted to gather as much information before going there and hearing a bunch of lies.

As always, your feedback is GREATLY appreciated

I had to add 1 quart after having my car for 4500miles and then at 9000ish i had to add another quart. Oil cooling tends to eat oil i guess so no biggy

Yes. Don't worry. Just add one quart.

Update

I called the dealer and they told me that it is 100% normal for the 335 to consume oil. They also told me that, depending on my driving habits, the car is going to ask for another quart every 2 months or so.

Thanks for the feedback

FWIW I had two erroneous oil quantity warning lights about 5-10 minutes after parking on a downslope.

I think the dealer speaks with forked tongue. (Watched an old B western last night.)
