Bluetooth problem

Hey ,hey people! I have E91 2006.

I bought the car yesterday and found that the MULF BLUETOOTH module was not working. I opened the trunk and saw that one socket had been removed. I turned it on and connected my iPhone to the car. all the buttons and functions work, I can dial the numbers too, but I can't hear the talk. other people hear me, but I don't.
VOICE COMMANDS WORKING TOO

Is your stereo working?
The audio from people calling in comes through the stereo.
06's came with a TCU module at least in the US .
Mulf's did not show up till 07 to 08
Could it be retrofitted with a Mulf by somebody else.
