porter cable problem
when i put pressure onto the porter cable the rotating part stops
it just orbits is this normal or is it broken

Try just using about 15lbs of presure the most.

Yup, not a problem at all. Use less pressure..let the pad do the work.

I find that when your pad loads up with product (sealant or wax) it has a tendancy to bog down a lot faster. So you need to either clean your pad often or keep changing them. I use a Griot's Garage orbital buffer that has a 750w motor and it takes quite a bit to bog it down.
