Yes! I got it out of there tonight. The final solution was super glue! Long very slim screwdriver. Put some two sided carpet tape on the end of it but that was not sticky enough. Went to the store and got a small tube of Loctite super glue and put that on the two sided tape on the end of the screwdriver. Stuck it to the plastic piece in the intake valve. Opened the intake valve some more, some more, some more. Pulled the plastic clip out!
The intake valve opens more and more by turning the valvetronic motor counter clockwise. Put everything back together. Prayed for a while. Reset engine codes. Started her up. Seems to be running with no issues!!!!!!!!!!!! I was afraid I might have done some damage to the valve or seat while I was in there but all good so far. ![]() Thanks to everyone for the advice. Especially nsjames for all of the input. As an extra bonus I got to drive my son's 2003 330i with manual transmission today. It is a real cream puff. I like a lot of things about it better than my 2007 328i. But they are both sweet! |
