You should be very worried about your oil filter leaking!!

Oil leaking from the oil filter cap and/or housing will eventually cause the serpentine belt to come off. Once that happens it wads up behind the crank pully and pushes its way into the engine where the timing chains chew it up and spreads it through the engine. Oil pan needs to be removed and oil pick-up/pump needs to be cleaned after that. All because of a failed $15 gasket.

As for the smoke all I can say is make sure your PCV system is working properly. That includes no cracks in valve cover and PCV/flapper valve are in place and working.

An upgrade to an external RB PCV system solved my smoking issues.

FIX the leak!

If I drive and shut the car off for 30 mins go to the store and come back, within 5 minutes of idling it'll start to smoke for 2-3 minutes or until I drive for a bit then no more smoke. It's pretty annoying im hoping an occ will help.
Any luck in figuring this smoking issue out?

I have been chasing my smoking issue for a year but I bought some Liqui Moly Oil Saver and it seems to have done the trick. Might not work for everyone but it sure fixed mine we will see how long it holds up.

what color is the smoke? Blue, black, white? Maybe pull the spark plugs out, see what they look like and post a picture.
White smoke
Just to clarify, smoke out of the exhaust right, not like under the hood?

Could it be an issue with clogged pcv ports in the valve cover?

It's only on cold starts and it the smoking will subside if i drive... if i let the car warm up like i usually do that's when i see the smoke.. if i just get in and go it doesn't smoke..
Mine does the same, sometime more so than other. There is more smoke coming from the right pipe than the left. From reading around it appears to be normal on start up as long as its not excessive, blue, or smelling sweet. What other mods do you have?

I am also wondering if its just oil that is being burned up, I don't have a catch can and I know there is oil in my charge pipe.

Sounds that way. I was getting smoke out the exhaust as well, and I ran some ATP seal conditioner in my last oil change and it fixed it.
